Data Retention & Deletion Standard

Data Retention & Deletion Standard
Explains retention factors, secure disposal, backups, legal holds and customer requests.
What this standard covers
- Retention depends on transaction, warranty, service history, safety, tax, dispute, fraud and legal requirements.
- Information is deleted, de-identified or access-restricted when no longer reasonably required.
- Backups follow controlled expiry and are not used as active customer records.
- Legal holds or unresolved claims may pause deletion for relevant information.
- Customers may request deletion; we explain any lawful reason records must be retained.
